Monzo Bank

Monzo Bank Limited is a UK-based digital challenger bank. It was established in February 2015 by Tom Blomfield, Jonas Huckestein, Jason Bates, Paul Rippon and Gary Dolman. For the year ending on February 28, 2017, Monzo Bank reported £19.478 million in total assets and £18.398 million in total equity. In the annual report for the year ended March 31, 2026, approved by the board on May 15, 2026, the Monzo group reported 15.2 million customers, deposits of £25.7 billion (£16.6 billion a year earlier), revenue of £1.7 billion, adjusted profit before tax of £172.6 million and total assets of £27.6 billion. Monzo's own website states that more than 16 million personal and business customers bank with Monzo. TS Anil stepped down as group chief executive on February 1, 2026 and was succeeded by Diana Layfield.
