Pioneer Bank, National Association is a full service bank in the Capital Region of New York. The Bank’s products and services include checking and savings accounts, individual retirement accounts (IRAs), certificates of deposit (CDs), debit and credit cards, repurchase agreements, investments and insurance, online, mobile and phone banking. Pioneer’s lending portfolio includes mortgages, auto loans, construction loans, home equity loans, home equity lines of credit (HELOC) and term loans. It also offers payroll and merchant services, night depository services, safe deposit boxes, remote deposits, automatic loan payments and direct deposits. With about 300 employees, it operates through over 20 offices with most branches staying open 7:00 pm weeknights and 3:00 pm on Saturdays. The company was formerly known as Pioneer Savings Bank and changed its name to Pioneer Bank in 2008; on April 1, 2024 it converted to a national bank charter, supervised by the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, and took the name Pioneer Bank, National Association. The Bank's branches are located in Albany, Brunswick, Clifton Park, Colonie, East Greenbush, Glenmont, Green Island, Latham, Malta, Rotterdam, Troy, Waterford, Watervliet, and Wynantskill. It was established in 1889 and is headquartered in Albany, New York; the office at 21 Second Street in Troy, which was formerly its head office, remains a branch. As of June 30, 2026, Pioneer Bank had total assets of $2.34 billion, deposits of $2.01 billion and net loans of $1.87 billion.
