Central Bank (UT)

Central Bank is a privately owned state chartered bank headquartered in Provo, Utah. It was one of the few banks that did not require Government Debenture Capital during the depression years. The Bank offers a wide range of financial products and services including checking and savings accounts, certificates of deposit, mortgages, auto and personal loans, recreational vehicle loans, overdraft protection loans, construction and real-estate loans, equipment loans, SBA loans, lines of credit, debit and credit cards, merchant services, advisory services, online and mobile banking as well as personal and business insurance products. With about 300 employees, it has a network of 13 offices in Utah County and Juab County. It was voted Best Bank in Utah Valley in the 2014 Readers' Choice Awards. The Bank's history can be traced back to 1891, when Springville Banking Company was established. In 1966, the State Bank of Provo merged with Springville Banking Company to form Central Bank and Trust. With this merger, Central Bank began to grow throughout the whole county, opening offices in Spanish Fork, Provo, Orem, Mapleton, and Payson. In 1990, Central Bank and Trust changed its name to Central Bank. As of June 30, 2017, the company had $970 million in total assets and $753 million in deposits. As of June 30, 2026, the FDIC reported $2.165 billion in total assets and $1.778 billion in deposits.
