City National Bank of Florida is one of the largest and most profitable banks in Florida, with $9 billion in total assets and about 600 employees. It provides a wide range of personal and commercial banking products and services through 26 offices in Miami-Dade, Broward, Palm Beach, Stuart, and Orlando, Florida. It offers checking, savings and money market accounts, IRAs, certificates of deposit (CDs), personal loans, residential mortgages, treasury management, online and mobile banking and other services. City National Bank of Florida was established in 1946 under the name North Shore Bank. In 2008, Caja Madrid, Spain's second-largest savings bank, acquired 83% of CNB for $927 million. In 2010, Caja Madrid merged with other Spanish savings banks to form Bankia. In 2013, Bankia signed an agreement to sell City National Bank to Bci (Banco de Credito e Inversiones), Chile's third-largest privately owned bank. The acquisition was completed in October 2015. As of June 30, 2017, City National had $6.7 billion in deposits and $6 billion in loans.
