Banco de Credito e Inversiones (Banco Bci)

Banco de Crédito e Inversiones S.A. (Bci) is the fourth largest private bank in Chile by assets and number of customers, behind Banco Santander Chile, Banco de Chile and BancoEstado. With over 11,000 employees, Bci has about 390 commercial contact points and 1,060 ATMs nationwide as well as branches and representative offices in Mexico, Peru, Brazil, Colombia, the U.S., Spain and China. Bci is the first Chilean bank with a presence in Hong Kong. Banco de Crédito e Inversiones provides a broad array of financial products and services for personal and business customers including savings and checking accounts, personal and mortgage loans, business loans, debit and credit cards, health and life insurance, securities brokerage, lease financing, short and long-term financing, mutual funds, asset management and more. In 2015, Bci acquired City National Bank of Florida or CNB (one of the most prestigious banks in the state of Florida) for US$883 million from Spanish lender Bankia. Banco de Crédito e Inversiones was founded in May 1937 by a group of immigrants in order to support small and medium enterprises. As of June 30, 2017, it had CLP 32.131 trillion in total assets and CLP 2.7 trillion in total equity. The company’s market capitalization is CLP 5 trillion (August 4, 2017). Empresas Juan Yarur SpA is the main shareholder of Bci.
