ANZ Bank New Zealand Limited is one of the largest financial institutions in the country in terms of total assets and profit. Founded in 1840, ANZ is the oldest bank in New Zealand. In 2003, ANZ acquired National Bank of New Zealand from Lloyds TSB for $NZ6.9 billion. As of June 30, 2015, ANZ Bank New Zealand had total assets of NZ$146.428 billion, deposits of NZ$91.890 billion and net loans and advances of NZ$105.262 billion. The company is led by David Hisco and operates as a subsidiary of Australia and New Zealand Banking Group Limited.
