Banco Popolare

Banco Popolare (Banco Popolare Societa Cooperativa) is the largest cooperative bank and one of the top five banking groups in Italy with approximately 1,850 branches, 2.6 million customers and 17,000 employees. It was created in 2007 from the merger of Banco Popolare di Verona e Novara and the Banca Popolare Italiana. Banco Popolare operates as a commercial bank with principal focus on retail segment and small/medium sized businesses. It offers current and savings accounts, consumer and commercial loans, debit and credit cards, asset management, corporate finance, bancassurance and other services. As of December 31, 2015, Banco Popolare Group had total assets of EUR 120.510 billion and gross customer loans of EUR 85.3 billion.

The Group’s foreign network comprises London branch and a subsidiary company Banca Aletti Suisse as well as representative offices in India (Mumbai), China (Shanghai and Hong Kong) and Russia (Moscow).
