Banco Popolare is the largest cooperative bank in Italy and one of the top five Italian banking groups with over 2,200 branches, 200,000 customers and more than 20,000 employees. It was created in 2007 from the merger of Banco Popolare di Verona e Novara and Banca Popolare Italiana. Banco Popolare operates as a commercial bank with principal focus on retail and small/medium sized businesses in Italy. The company offers consumer loans, credit cards, asset management, corporate finance and bancassurance services.

The Group’s foreign network comprises Banco Popolare’s London branch, the subsidiaries BP Luxembourg, BP Croatia, BP Ceska Republiká, BP Hungary, Banca Aletti Suisse and the leasing company AT Leasing present in Romania with 6 local units. Foreign operations are also supported by Representative offices in India (Mumbai), China (Beijing, Shanghai and Hong Kong) and Russia (Moscow).
