Public Bank Berhad (PBB), founded in 1965 by Teh Hong Piow, is one of the leading providers of financial services in Malaysia with total assets of RM345.721 billion ($98.78 billion) at December 2014. Net operating income and revenue for FY2014 amounted to RM 6.067 billion and RM 16.860 billion, respectively.

Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Dr. Teh Hong Piow Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Dr. Teh Hong Piow, the Chairman, owns nearly a quarter of Public Bank. He began his banking career in 1950 and has 60 years experience in the banking industry. Teh Hong Piow founded Public Bank in 1965 at the age of 35. His net worth is estimated by Forbes to be US$5.6 billion (2015).
