Postal Savings Bank of China (PSBC) is the seventh largest commercial bank in the country by assets. It is also the fourth largest bank in terms of deposits, behind ICBC, Agricultural Bank and China Construction Bank. Postal Savings Bank provides a wide range of banking and financial services to retail, SMEs, rural and low income customers. With about 170,000 employees, it serves over 500 million retail customers and 600,000 corporate clients through a network of over 40,000 outlets of which more than two-thirds in rural areas, making it the largest rural financial network in China. In many remote areas PSBC is the only financial institution providing banking services to local residents. In 2016, Postal Savings Bank of China completed initial public offering (IPO) on Hong Kong Stock Exchange (HKEX). The company was established in March 2007 and is headquartered in Beijing. PSBC is wholly-owned subsidiary of China Post Group. As of December31, 2016, PSBC had total assets of CNY8.266 trillion (US$1.2 trillion).
