Jyske Bank A/S is the second largest independent Danish bank with total assets of DKK 541 billion (US$81.3 billion), 900,000 customers, over 4,100 employees and a market share of 8-9% of aggregate Danish mortgage lending. The company primarily focuses on Danish SME and retail clients. It offers a full range of financial services including deposits, commercial loans, leasing and financing activities, private banking, securities brokerage services, investment advice and asset management services, internet and mobile banking. The Bank offers mortgage lending via the subsidiary BRFkredit, the fourth largest mortgage lender in Denmark. Since 2014, the Group has had strong strategic focus on mortgage lending. Jyske Bank operates in Denmark, Switzerland, Germany, Spain, France and Gibraltar. In 2014, the Jyske Bank Group sold its stake in the investment company Berben’s Effectenkantoor B.V. in the Netherlands. As of June 30, 2015, the company had mortgage loans of DKK 233.7 billion, bank loans of DKK 113.8 billion and bank deposits of DKK 124.4 billion. Jyske Bank was established on 7 July 1967 following the merger of four banks in Central Jutland.
