Westpac New Zealand Limited is one of the largest full service banks in the country serving over 1.5 million clients through a nationwide network of branches and ATMs. It provides a complete range of banking and financial services for individual, corporate and institutional customers as well as being the banker of the New Zealand Government. It also provides funds management services. Through Westpac Institutional Bank, it offers mergers and acquisitions, capital raising, financial markets, transaction and international trade services. Westpac New Zealand Ltd operates as a subsidiary of Westpac New Zealand Group Limited. As of March 31, 2026, Westpac NZ Banking Group had total assets of NZ$130.0 billion, loans of NZ$109.0 billion and deposits and other borrowings of NZ$85.5 billion. It reported a net profit of NZ$1,203 million for the year to September 30, 2025 and was the fourth-largest registered bank in New Zealand by total assets at June 30, 2026, behind ANZ, BNZ and ASB. Its ultimate parent, Westpac Banking Corporation, reported 749 branches across Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific at September 30, 2025, of which 621 were in Australia.
