Several of the entities listed above have since left the Dexia group. Dexia Kommunalbank Deutschland AG was sold to Landesbank Hessen-Thüringen (Helaba) for EUR 352 million in a transaction completed on 2 May 2019; it was renamed KOFIBA-Kommunalfinanzierungsbank GmbH before being integrated into Helaba, and the disposal reduced Dexia’s balance sheet by about EUR 24 billion. Dexia agreed on 9 September 2018 to sell Dexia Israël Bank Ltd to Israel Discount Bank for NIS 670 million, for merger into its Mercantile Discount Bank unit. Dexia Crédit Local SA was renamed Dexia on 1 January 2024 following the withdrawal of its banking licence, and the group continued its orderly resolution as a non-banking entity, reporting total assets of EUR 43.4 billion at 31 December 2025.
