Banque Populaire Côte d'Azur ceased to exist on 22 November 2016. Extraordinary general meetings of members held that day in Nice and Marseille approved its merger with Banque Populaire Provençale et Corse and Banque Chaix to form Banque Populaire Méditerranée, one of the regional Banques Populaires of Groupe BPCE. The new bank began with 244 branches across nine departments and 2,380 staff, and kept the head office at 457 promenade des Anglais in Nice. The French business register records the former bank (SIREN 955804448) as closed on 22 November 2016.
