Banque Populaire Provençale et Corse ceased to exist on 22 November 2016. Extraordinary general meetings held that day in Nice and Marseille approved its merger with Banque Populaire Côte d'Azur and Banque Chaix to form Banque Populaire Méditerranée, which is headquartered in Nice and is one of the regional Banques Populaires of Groupe BPCE. The business, accounts and customers of Banque Populaire Provençale et Corse passed to the new bank.
