The Korea Development Bank (or KDB Bank) is a 100% government-owned policy bank headquartered in Seoul. As of December 31, 2025 it employed 3,486 people, 2,113 of them at its head office. It provides a broad range of products and services through a network of 59 domestic branches, 12 overseas branches, 7 overseas subsidiaries and 6 overseas representative offices. Corporate banking has been KDB's primary business area since its establishment in 1954. Over the decades since, KDB has provided huge amounts of industrial capital through traditional banking services like investments, loans and guarantees to help develop the national economy. As of December 31, 2025 the company had consolidated total assets of KRW 384.6 trillion and consolidated loans of KRW 236.8 trillion. In 2017, KDB was named House of the year by Asia Risk Awards.
