AmBank Group is one of the ten largest banking groups in Malaysia. It employs 7,727 people (06/2026) and serves over 3 million customers through a network of 163 branches (03/2026). The Group includes AMMB Holdings Bhd, a public listed company with a market capitalization of RM 21.8 billion (03/2026). As of March 31, 2026, it had RM 207.7 billion in total assets and RM 21.6 billion in shareholders’ equity; total assets reached RM 214.1 billion as of June 30, 2026. The company was founded in 1975 by Merchant Banking pioneer Hussain Najadi. Tan Sri Azman Hashim, one of the richest people in Malaysia, was Chairman of AmBank Group and now holds the honorary titles of Chairman Emeritus and Honorary Adviser. Tan Sri Md Nor bin Md Yusof is Independent Non-Executive Chairman of AMMB Holdings Berhad, and Jamie Ling is Group Chief Executive Officer.
