The Chiba Bank, Ltd. (also known as Chibagin) is the second-largest regional bank in Japan. It offers a broad array of financial services including savings accounts, personal and business loans, credit cards, insurance, securities services, leasing, online and mobile banking, asset management and more. The Chiba Bank’s customer base includes over 30,000 high net worth individuals (HNWI) with financial assets of ¥100 million or above. With about 4,200 employees, it operates a domestic network of 183 offices, comprising 161 branches, 19 sub-branches and 3 virtual branches, together with 3 money exchange counters. It also has overseas branches in New York, Hong Kong, London and Singapore and representative offices in Shanghai and Bangkok. The Bank’s operating area includes Chiba Prefecture and the neighboring areas of eastern Tokyo, Saitama and southern Ibaraki Prefecture. As of March 31, 2026, Chiba Bank had total assets of ¥21,111.7 billion, deposits of ¥16,851.4 billion and loans of ¥14,147.7 billion. The company was established in March 1943 and is based in Chiba Prefecture.
