The Bank of Kyoto, Ltd. is the biggest retail bank in Kyoto prefecture. It provides high-quality financial services including various deposit products, personal and commercial loans, credit cards, mortgages, life and health insurance, pension products, investments, securities services, leasing, online banking and more. The Bank primarily operates in Kansai region and has 167 branches in Kyoto, Shiga, Osaka, Nara and Hyogo prefectures as well as 1 branch in Aichi prefecture and 1 branch in Tokyo prefecture. It also has representative offices in Shanghai, Hong Kong, Dalian and Bangkok. The Bank of Kyoto has a business alliance with Kasikornbank (one of the largest commercial banks in Thailand), Bank Negara Indonesia, ICBC Ltd, Bank of China, State Bank of India, CTBC Financial Holding, The Bank of East Asia, Metropolitan Bank and Trust Company, and Banco Nacional de México, S.A. The market capitalization was JPY 403 billion as of July 17, 2017. The Bank of Kyoto was established on October 1, 1941 and today employs about 3,400 people.
