Saudi Hollandi Bank (SHB) provides a wide range of personal and business banking services including current and saving accounts, overdraft accounts, personal loans, Islamic & conventional credit cards, home finance solutions, Taqdeer banking, Murabaha specific investment (MSI), treasury and trade services, structured finance solutions as well as safe deposit boxes, payroll services, international transfers and eBanking services. Saudi Hollandi Bank was established in 1926 and was the first operating bank in the Saudi Arabia. Originally, it was known as 'The Netherlands Trading Society', and operated out of one office in Jeddah. As it was the only bank in the Kingdom at the time, it acted as the central bank, keeping the Kingdom's gold reserves and receiving oil revenues on behalf of the Saudi Arabian government. Today the company employs over 1,400 staff and operates through a network of more than 50 branches, 15 Ladies Sections and over 260 ATMs. In 2009, SHB became the first bank in the Kingdom to deploy the automated Teller Cash Recycling machines (TCR). As at September 30, 2011, the Bank had SR56.047 billion (US$14.94 billion) in total assets, SR44.34 billion (US$11.82 billion) in customer deposits and SR7.1744 billion (US$1.91 billion) in shareholders' equity.
