Zürcher Kantonalbank

Zurich Cantonal Bank (or Zürcher Kantonalbank, ZKB), established in 1870, is the largest Swiss cantonal bank. It is also Switzerland's fourth-largest bank by total assets and among the leading asset managers with assets under management of CHF 275 billion. ZKB is a full-service bank providing a wide range of financial products and services including retail and commercial banking, private banking, international banking, asset management and investment services. With about 5,100 employees, it operates over 80 branches including offices of Zürcher Kantonalbank Osterreich in Vienna and Salzburg. Additionally, it has representative offices in Sao Paulo, Beijing, Singapore and Mumbai. The company was established in 1870 and is headquartered in Zurich. Zürcher Kantonalbank is wholly owned by the canton of Zurich. At June 30, 2017, the company had total assets of CHF 158.378 billion, customer deposits of CHF 81.5 billion and mortgage loans of CHF 78.2 billion. The core capital ratio is 17.9%. ZKB is one of the five banks in the world to be awarded the highest AAA/Aaa credit ratings by all three leading rating agencies.
