Hottinger & Cie

Banque Hottinger & Cie SA is a Swiss private bank based in Zurich. The company provides wealth management and financial advisory services. It was formerly known as Banque Hottinger and changed its name to Hottinger & Cie in 1968. The company was established in 1786 and has offices in Geneva, Sion, Brig, Basel, New York, Luxembourg, London, and Nassau. Together with partner companies, it employs over 130 people. In 2010, the Bank modernized its legal form, switching from a partnership to a société anonyme (joint-stock corporation). Hottinger family members remained majority shareholders in the Bank. In March 2012, the family decided to divide the Group into two distinct entities: Groupe Banque Hottinger (Switzerland) and Groupe Financière Hottinguer (International).

In October 2015, the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority (FINMA) withdrew the license of Bank Hottinger & Cie SA. At the same time FINMA opened bankruptcy proceedings against Bank Hottinger & Cie.
