Bank Cler AG

Bank Cler AG (BC: SWX) (formerly Bank Coop AG) is a leading domestic universal bank with total assets of CHF 17 billion, mortgages of CHF 14 billion and customer deposits of CHF 12 billion. It operates through over 30 offices across the country and has no branches outside Switzerland. With approximately 450 employees, it offers current and savings accounts, credit and debit cards, loan and mortgage products, pension plans, asset management, online banking and other services. The company was established in 1927 as a cooperative society by the Swiss Confederation of Trade Unions (SGB) and Federation of Swiss Consumer Associations under the name of Cooperative Central Bank. In 1995, it was rebranded to Coop Bank. In December 1999, Basler Kantonalbank acquired the majority of Bank Coop shares. In May 2017, Bank Coop AG changed its name to Bank Cler AG. As of January 30, 2018, the company had a market capitalization of approximately CHF 750 million.
