Caisse des Depots et Consignations

Caisse des Depots et Consignations (CDC) is a French public financial organization established in 1816. It is part of the government institutions under the control of Parliament. CDC is a long-term investor serving the general interest and economic development of the country. The company invests in development projects in all territories, to respond to needs the market cannot meet alone. On 4 March 2020 Caisse des Depots et Consignations became the majority shareholder of La Poste, taking 66% of the group alongside the French State’s 34%, and CNP Assurances passed under the control of La Banque Postale. As of June 2026 CDC was rated A+, Aa3 and A+ by Fitch, Moody’s and Standard and Poor’s, respectively.
