Komerční banka, a.s. (KB) is one of the leading banking institutions in the Czech Republic. KB is a universal bank providing retail, corporate, and investment banking services. It offers various deposit products, consumer and business loans, mortgages, credit and debit cards, mobile and online banking, asset management, pension funds, securities services, factoring as well as insurance products including car insurance, property insurance, travel insurance and life insurance. At the end of 2025 KB Group served 2,268,000 clients, of whom 1,777,000 were clients of the bank itself, through a network of 187 points of sale and 757 of its own ATMs. Its clients may also withdraw cash on the same terms from a shared ATM network operated jointly with MONETA Money Bank, UniCredit Bank and Air Bank, which totalled 1,940 machines at the end of 2025. The average number of employees within KB Group was 6,971 in 2025. KB is the only Czech bank whose shares are publicly traded. Komercni banka operates as a subsidiary of Societe Generale Group. In 2001, the government sold its 60% stake in the bank to Societe Generale for CZK 40 billion. At the end of 2025 Societe Generale held 60.35% of the bank's share capital. As of December 31, 2025, KB Group had total assets of CZK 1,599.6 billion, net customer loans of CZK 904.8 billion, amounts due to customers of CZK 1,221.0 billion and total equity of CZK 127.2 billion.
