Ceská sporitelna, a.s. is one of the biggest banks in the country with approximately 4.5 million customers at December 31, 2025. It is a number one in consumer loans, deposits, number of branches and ATMs. The Bank is also one of the leading securities dealers on the Czech capital market. The company provides a comprehensive range of financial products and banking services for retail and business customers. It offers current and savings accounts, consumer and corporate loans, cash loans, mortgage loans, American mortgage (a specific loan secured by a lien on a real estate), credit and debit cards, travel insurance, card and personal belongings insurance, investments; online, phone and mobile banking; GSM banking as well as funds management, foreign exchange, trade and export finance, transaction and liquidity management, market risk management, real estate financing and advisory services. Since year 2000, Ceska sporitelna has been a member of Erste Group, one of the leading financial institutions in Central and Eastern Europe with approximately 16.2 million clients in seven countries: Austria, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Romania, Hungary, Croatia and Serbia. In the latest ranking of banks released by the Global Finance, Ceska Sporitelna was placed at the top of the list of the safest banks in Central and Eastern Europe. Ceska Sporitelna also received the prestigious award “Bank of the Year for the Czech Republic” in the international competition of the prestigious magazine The Banker. Ceska Sporitelna has over 550 branches and employs about 10,300 people. At December 31, 2025, its network comprised 1,516 ATMs and transaction terminals, a decrease of 95 over the year; the number of active payment cards issued by the bank had risen by 8.5% over the year to 4.4 million, and more than 2.6 million customers used digital banking. The network also includes 19 Mortgage Centers, 16 Regional Corporate Centres for SME clients and 14 Regional Centers for Erste Private Banking clients. Ceska Sporitelna was established in 1825 and is the first savings bank in the country. At December 31, 2025, the Ceska Sporitelna Group had total assets of CZK 2,038.5 billion, gross customer loans of CZK 1,198.6 billion, customer deposits of CZK 1,529.8 billion, and total accounting equity of CZK 150.5 billion.
