DirectCash Bank

DirectCash Bank (DC Bank) was a Canadian owned Schedule I bank located in Calgary, Alberta. It was renamed Digital Commerce Bank, trading as DCBank, in November 2020: the Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions records institution number 28019 reporting as DirectCash Bank through October 31, 2020 and as Digital Commerce Bank from November 30, 2020. Under the DirectCash name it offered automated teller machine (ATM) accounts, Prepaid Visa and MasterCard cards including DC TAG (a prepaid Visa payWave credit card in the form of a wristband), as well as corporate accounts, online banking and mobile banking. DC Bank had the largest ATM network in Canada with over 7,500 branded terminals. DirectCash Bank was a member of the Canadian Deposit Insurance Corporation, the Canadian Payments Association, Interac Association, MasterCard International Inc and Maestro International Inc. The Bank’s deposits were insured up to $100,000. As of May 31, 2017, the company had total assets of C$44.783 million. Reporting as Digital Commerce Bank, the institution held total assets of C$419.9 million as at June 30, 2026.
