Banco de la Nación Argentina (Bank of the Argentine Nation) is the largest financial institution in Argentina. It is a state-owned commercial bank focusing on small and medium enterprises. It offers a wide array of financial products and services to personal and business customers including current and savings accounts, personal and mortgage loans, industrial and commercial loans, agricultural and export loans, credit and debit cards, investments as well as insurance products, foreign trade services, corporate cards, leasing products, online banking and more. As of June 2026, the Bank maintained 705 branches and 3,136 ATMs in Argentina, employing 15,373 staff in the country and a further 194 abroad. Its overseas network consisted of branches in New York, Madrid, Montevideo and Santa Cruz de la Sierra, agencies in Miami, São Paulo and Asunción, three sub-agencies and a customer service centre in Paraguay, and a representative office in Beijing; the Central Bank of Argentina additionally records one location in Chile. The Bank no longer maintains offices in Panama or Venezuela. Banco de la Nación Argentina (BNA) was established in October 1891 by President Carlos Pellegrini by way of stabilizing the financial system following the panic of 1890. The Bank headquarters was designed by local architect Alejandro Bustillo in 1938. As of June 2026, the Bank had ARS 79.02 trillion in total assets and ARS 50.14 trillion in deposits, according to the Central Bank of Argentina.
