Nuevo Banco Bisel S.A. provided a wide range of commercial and retail banking services including deposits, personal and business loans, debit and credit cards, insurance and leasing services. In 2006, Banco Macro acquired Nuevo Banco Bisel. Bisel's acquisition made Macro the largest private, domestically owned bank in Argentina with about 8,000 employees and 450 branches. Banco Bisel was established in 2002 and is headquartered in Rosario, Argentina. As of March 31, 2009, Nuevo Banco Bisel had Ar$ 4.136 billion in assets and Ar$ 1.389 billion in equity.

Banco Macro S.A. announced that, in relation the merger agreement with Nuevo Banco Bisel S.A., it has approved the distribution of 1,147,887 ordinary class B shares to all the minority shareholder of Nuevo Banco Bisel S.A. The total amount of shares represents a nominal value of ARS 1,147,887. The distribution date will be on September 23, 2009.

Moody's Investors Service has withdrawn all of its ratings for Banco Bisel following the completion of its merge with Banco Macro. Bisel has no rated foreign currency debt outstanding. The following ratings of Nuevo Banco Bisel were withdrawn:
