Investec Bank Limited is a specialist bank. Until 2020 the wider Investec group described three core business areas: Asset Management, Wealth & Investment and Specialist Banking (lending, transactional banking, treasury and trading, advisory, investment activities). The group's asset management arm was demerged from Investec Group and relaunched under the name Ninety One on 16 March 2020, its shares listing that day on the London Stock Exchange and the Johannesburg Stock Exchange. Investec Bank Limited was established in 1974 as a small leasing and financing company and today it is the leading financial services firm in South Africa. As of June 30, 2017, the Bank had total assets of R425.687 billion. Investec Bank Limited operates as a subsidiary of Investec Limited, a subsidiary of Investec Group Ltd.
