Banco Penta was the first and only bank in Chile specialized in investment services. It offered asset management, mutual funds, investment advisory services, credit products, international investment operations, securities brokerage, insurance and other services. It was established in August 2004 and operated as a subsidiary of Empresas Penta (Grupo Penta), one of the largest financial holdings companies in Chile. As of March 31, 2016, Banco Penta had total assets of CLP 449.287 billion (US$670 million).
The Bank was dissolved in 2017.
