Korea Stock Exchange

Korea Exchange (KRX) was created on January 27, 2005 through the merger of the Korea Stock Exchange, KOSDAQ Stock Market and the Korea Futures Exchange. The company is the sole securities exchange operator in South Korea. KRX is ranked in the top 20 worldwide in terms of trading value and number of listed companies. As of October 31, 2016, Korea Exchange had 2,097 listed companies with a total market capitalization of over US$1.3 trillion. KOSPI 200 is the best-known index consisting of 200 companies. KRX plans to expand its activity to attract listings of overseas companies including not only Chinese companies but also Global 100 Companies as well as companies in Eastern Europe, Africa, and South America.
