Banco Votorantim S.A. is one of the largest financial institutions in Brazil with approximately 3,800 employees. Its core businesses are wholesale banking, investments, consumer finance, treasury and wealth management. Wholesale banking includes investment banking, brokerage as well as services for companies with revenue more than US$50 million. Votorantim is one of the leading players in consumer finance with focus on the auto financing business. The Bank’s main divisions are BV Financeira (one of the leading players in auto finance), BV Leasing, Votorantim Asset Management, Votorantim CTVM (brokerage firm), Votorantim Corretora de Seguros SA, Votorantim Securities (UK) Ltd, Banco Votorantim Securities, Inc and Promotiva SA, among others. It also has subsidiaries in Nassau (Bahamas), New York and London. Established in 1988 as a securities dealer, the company started operating as a multiple bank in 1991. The Bank is controlled by Votorantim Group and Banco do Brasil. In 2009, Banco do Brasil acquired 50% of Banco Votorantim‘s total capital. As of March 31, 2017, the company had total assets of BRL 104.2 billion (US$33 billion) and total loan portfolio of BRL 46.9 billion (US$15 billion).

Votorantim Group

Votorantim Group, founded in 1918, is one of the largest privately-held industrial groups in Latin America with businesses ranging from cement, mining and metallurgy (aluminum, zinc and nickel), steel, pulp and paper, concentrated orange juice, self-generation of electricity to financial services.
