Indra Krishnamurthy Nooyi was born on October 28, 1955. She is chairman and chief executive officer of PepsiCo, which operates in some 200 countries and employs about 185,000 people worldwide. Before joining PepsiCo in 1994, Indra Nooyi held senior positions with Asea Brown Boveri, Motorola and the Boston Consulting Group. Nooyi began her career in India, where she held product manager positions at Johnson & Johnson and at Mettur Beardsell, a textile firm. She holds a BS from Madras Christian College in Madras, an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management in Calcutta and a Master of Public and Private Management from Yale University. Indra Nooyi is married and has two daughters.
