National Australia Bank (NAB) founded in 1893, is one of the 'big four' Australian banks, with ANZ, Westpac, and Commonwealth Bank. NAB, together with its subsidiaries, is engaged in banking services, leasing, housing and general finance, investment banking, wealth management, funds management, life insurance, and custodian, trustee and nominee services. With more than 44,000 employees, the company operates across 10 countries (UK, New Zealand, USA and Asia) serving over 8 million consumer and corporate customers and over 2.4 million wealth management clients. The Bank maintains an extensive network in Australia with more than 1,800 offices and 4,700 ATMs. NAB is one of eight banks in the world with a AA credit rating. The Bank’s shares were listed on the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX was created by the merger of the Australian Stock Exchange and the Sydney Futures Exchange in July 2006) on 1 January 1974.
