Banco Santander (México) S.A., Institución de Banca Múltiple, Grupo Financiero Santander is one of the largest financial institutions in Mexico. The company provides a wide range of retail, commercial and corporate banking services including checking and savings accounts, personal and car loans, mortgages, insurance, credit and debit cards, lease financing, financial advisory services, insurance brokerage, investment management and more. It also provides integrated financial services to large multinational companies in Mexico. The Bank has a 14% share of the lending market and 15% of retail deposits. With about 17,000 employees, it serves more than 13.5 million customers through a network of 1,075 branches, 314 offices and 5,875 ATMs in all the states of the Mexican Republic. It was formerly known as Banco Santander Mexicano and changed its name to Banco Santander (Mexico) in 2008. In 2015, Global Finance named Banco Santander Mexico the Best Trade Finance Provider in Mexico. The Bank has long term and short credit ratings of 'A3/P-2' from Moody’s and 'BBB+/F2' from Fitch, both with stable outlook.
