Latvijas Krajbanka HQ
Latvijas Krajbanka (Latvian Savings Bank) is a Latvian bank which was founded in 1924 as the Latvian Postal Savings Bank. With over 900 employees, the Bank had 109 customer service centres across Latvia (of which 28 were mini banks) and about 200 ATMs. In 2010, Latvijas Krajbanka had total assets of 654.204 million lats (US$1.19 billion). In December 2011, Latvijas Krājbanka was declared insolvent, and SIA "KPMG Baltics" was approved as the insolvency administrator. On May 10, 2012, the Council of the Financial and Capital Market Commission decided to cancel the banking licence issued to AS Latvijas Krājbanka. As of September 2015, Latvijas Krajbanka still owed 243.3 million euros to the Deposit Guarantee Fund.
