Oesterreichische Kontrollbank

OeKB AG (Oesterreichische Kontrollbank Aktiengesellschaft) is an Austrian financial services provider headquartered in Vienna. OeKB is owned by domestic commercial banks and is Austria’s official Export Credit Agency (ECA). It was founded on January 22, 1946 to provide specialized banking services. The company's activities are targeted to the needs of the economy as a whole. It offers products and services across business sectors, in a centralized manner, in accord with its sustainability policy. OeKB has a long tradition of fulfilling these special functions in its major areas of activity: Export and Capital Market Services as well as Information Services business. OeKB is the second largest Austrian borrower in the international capital markets, ranking behind only the Austrian government. OeKB's services include export and capital market services, energy market services for the electricity and gas market, information services as well as services on behalf of the Austrian government. As of December 31, 2016, Oesterreichische Kontrollbank had total assets of EUR 26.5 billion and employed over 400 people.
