OCBC (Oversea-Chinese Banking Corporation) is one of the largest local banks in Singapore and the second largest financial services group in Southeast Asia, classified by assets. OCBC’s insurance subsidiary, Great Eastern Holdings, is the largest insurance group in Singapore and Malaysia by assets. OCBC also is among the world's highest rated banks, with a long term credit rating of Aa1 from Moody's. Its key markets are Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and Greater China. OCBC operates a network of more than 500 branches and representative offices in 15 countries, including over 400 branches in Indonesia. In 2010, OCBC Bank completed its acquisition of ING Asia Private Bank for US$1.463 billion (around EUR 1 billion) and ING Asia Private Bank has been re-named Bank of Singapore Limited. OCBC is the oldest financial services group, formed in 1932 from the merger of three local banks: the Chinese Commercial Bank (1912), Ho Hong Bank (1917) and Oversea-Chinese Bank (1919).
