Affin Bank

Affin Bank Berhad (AFFINBANK) operates as a subsidiary of AFFIN Holdings Berhad (AHB), an investment holding company.  It provides a wide array of financial products and services to retail and corporate customers including current and savings accounts, consumer and business loans, mortgages, credit and debit cards, life and general insurance, trade finance, contract financing, cash management, internet banking and more. It also offers Islamic banking products through its subsidiary Affin Islamic Bank. AFFINBANK started operations in January 2001 following a merger between the Perwira Affin Bank and BSN Commercial Bank. In 2005, it merged with the Affin-ACF Finance. In 2007, AHB entered into an agreement with the Bank of East Asia and subsequently the Bank of East Asia became one of the substantial shareholders of Affin Holdings. In the third quarter of 2016, the Bank reported total assets of RM58.709 billion (US$14.2 billion), customer deposits of RM45.667 billion (US$11.1 billion) and loans of RM41.576 billion (US$10.1 billion). As of March 2017, the company had over 105 branches across Malaysia.
