Japan Post Bank Co., Ltd is the largest bank in Japan by deposits and the second largest by total assets.

It provides a wide range of banking products including deposit, lending and credit card services, securities investment, foreign exchange, government bonds, insurance and other services. With 12,965 employees, it operates through a network of 12 branches, 222 sub-branches, 19,869 directly operated post offices, 3,957 contracted post offices and about 27,000 ATMs. It also has overseas representative offices in London (the UK) and Hong Kong. The company was established on September 1, 2006 and operates as a subsidiary Japan Post Holdings Co., Ltd. The Bank was formerly known as Yucho Co. Ltd and changed its name to Japan Post Bank in 2007. In November 2015, the Bank was listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange.

For the fiscal year ended March 31, 2017, Japan Post Bank reported net income of ¥312.2 billion, total assets of ¥209.569 trillion (US$1.9 trillion) and deposits of ¥179.435 trillion.
