Guaranty Trust Bank plc (GTBank, GTB) is one of the top five banks in Nigeria. The Bank was established in July 1990 and commenced operation in February 1991. In July 2007, GTBank was, as very first subsaharan bank and first Nigerian joint stock company, listed on London Stock Exchange and Deutsche Börse. With more than 5.000 employees, GTBank has more than 160 branches in Nigeria and runs nationwide over 250 ATMs. It also has operations in other African countries (Gambia, Ghana, Liberia, Sierra Leone) and the United Kingdom. The Bank is one of the fastest growing banks in the Gambia in terms of branch expansion and the third largest financial institution in the region with a balance sheet of D1.7 billion at the end of 2007. The Bank has offices in Banjul, Serekunda, Brikama, Senegambia, Bamboo, Kanifing, Latrikunda Sabiji and Brusubi.
